Family Travel

Over the past 3 years my husband and I have become almost experts in living minimally.  We went from living in a 6,800 soft warehouse in Los Angeles to a tiny studio to a remodeled garage to a temporary vintage home with antique furniture my husband refinished with his own hands for our first born.

We have learned to adjust in every situation and the excessive parts of my thinking died their necessary deaths to make way for the journey God has set before us.  Sometimes I think to myself, how much do you want to die?  

 

"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want."-Philippians 4:12

 

Although I want to hold on to the idea of having a place we can call home, a place where we can watch our daughter grow up, cook together in the kitchen, plant a garden we can eat from, I am very aware that this earth is not our home.  And every so often we get the rich to move on to the next chapter.

 

Currently, I personally don't feel like we are called to stay put.  Perhaps Ive never felt this way... As I read throughout the Bible, Jesus's disciples were always moving, always spreading the Gospel and never were promised anything but the solid provision of God's Word.  

 

In 2014 we packed up our things in storage in LA thinking we would be coming back to find a new place in 2015 after I gave birth to my daughter.  I was devastated, literally in tears that we couldn't return to the family I could finally call my own.  They are my tribe and still to today they are, but again, God is calling us to pick up our bags and follow Him.

Well here we are in the midst of another big leap into faith, Europe for possibly most of 2017.  This is by far one of the most geological major jumps we've ever taken.  

 

Our hopes is to knit the Body of Christ tighter, connect with Artist communities and work one on one with Charities that could use our gifts and talents.  What will come of this?  Who knows but we're going to make memories doing it and hopefully meet new life long friends in the process.

 

All this being said, I hope to update you all on our journey on here.  We will be posting must see places, things to do, places to eat and stay while traveling with family.  So please do give me suggestions, feedback and and topics of interest you would like to know in the comments below!
